Sometimes I Wonder Who You'd Be Today

Dear Jerome,

I miss you.
I know it's been close to eight years since we said goodbye.
I still get sad about it.
I'm sure you'd be happy to know that Sarah and I are getting along much better.
Josh, too.

She told me about their trip down to Florida.
She mentioned seeing a fortune teller.
Talked about how your presence was there; at first, you remained in the background;
which, to me, is unlike you, as you were always painted as the poster child for "look at me, I'm the attention whore (errr. bastard? IDK)!!!

Talking with Sarah, it gives me this whole other side of you that I feel Rochelle and I never got to see. Reading your letters that you never gave to those whom they were meant for made me think about all the letters I wrote you years ago, before you were sick, and wondering if you were ever going to read them.

Were you at my wedding?
I made a wish that you would be.
Oddly enough, I never felt happier or more at ease with my life.
I quit my job as an equipment operator at Oriental Trading Co.
Don't worry, I got hired straight away at West Corp. as an HR Call Girl.

The puzzle pieces I was missing eight years ago, I have found.
Except you.

You're the one puzzle piece that will forever leave the puzzle of my life incomplete.

Love,

Amanda
